It was late morning in Katherine's apartment. She and Pythor were sitting in the living room, lazily keeping to themselves. He was engrossed in a novel with a sip from his morning tea every now and then, while Katherine busied herself with fixing one of her broken darts.

SIXTEEN — Once a Failure...
The morning after the rainstorm was quite a bright one. Sunlight poured through the living room window as Pythor laid on the couch, re-reading one of the books Nikkei had kindly brought him to keep himself from getting bored. He had woken up fairly early for once.
Normally he was up by eight on the dot, but today the Anacondrai woke up an hour early. He hated rising sooner than his regular schedule, but considering all he would be doing was lounging about instead of formulating a plot, Pythor didn't mind early rising for once.
